🚀 Quick Start

Text To Prompt is a professional tool designed to help you construct complex, timed prompts for AI Video generators like Runway Gen-3, Luma Dream Machine, and Sora.

Core Workflow

  1. Select a Model: Choose the target AI (e.g., Runway, Luma).
  2. Build Your Timeline: Add segments for different camera angles or scenes.
  3. Write Prompts: Describe each shot in detail.
  4. Generate: Copy the compiled prompt specifically formatted for your model.

🎬 The Editor

Timeline & Segments

The visual timeline allows you to sequence your video. Click the "+" button to add a new segment. Drag the edges of a segment to change its duration.

  • Click to select a segment.
  • Drag edge to resize duration.
  • Delete via the trash icon in the sidebar.

Sidebar Details

When a segment is selected, the right sidebar shows its properties. Here you can type the descriptions for:

  • Subject: The main focus (e.g., "A futuristic car").
  • Action: What is happening (e.g., "driving fast").
  • Camera: Shot type (e.g., "Drone view", "Close up").

⚙️ Models & Duration

Choosing a Model

Different AI models interpret time and prompts differently. Use the dropdown in the top-left to switch models.

  • Runway Gen-3Best for realistic motion. Supports exact timestamps (e.g., "At 00:05...").
  • Luma Dream MachineGreat for dreamlike transitions. Requires fluid descriptive prompts.
  • KlingHigh fidelity physics.

Setting Duration

Total video duration is usually fixed by the model (e.g., 5s or 10s). You can toggle this in the top bar. Ensure your total segment length matches the target duration for optimal results.

✨ Using Templates

Don't start from scratch! Visit the Templates Library to browse professionally crafted prompt structures.

Free vs Pro

Free Templates: Available to everyone. Great for learning basic structures.
Pro Templates: Complex, high-quality structures verified by experts. Requires a Pro account.

How to Use

Simply click "Use Template" on any card. This will clone the entire project structure into your editor, ready for you to customize variables (like changing the subject while keeping the camera moves).
